Chapter Sixteen
Sophia
My first morning in my new home has been absolutely perfect. Joe and I just returned from Tennessee last night, and I’m so pleased to be his wife. “How are you feeling, beautiful?” he asks, coming out of the shower in only his towel draped loosely around his slender waist. Damn, those sexy lines that lead to his thick cock look so inviting, but I’m still tired.
“Pleasurably sore,” I sigh, stretching out on the bed with my sleepy eyes focused on him. We’ve made love and napped. I only woke up as he exited the shower.
“I have to meet the guys at the clubhouse in twenty minutes.” I look at him and down at my sheet-covered body because I’m not even dressed to go anywhere. “I’m sorry, but I want you to stay here.”
The look on his face tells me that this isn’t up for debate, but I’m a newlywed. I want to be with my darling, sexy husband, so I challenge, “Why?”
He slides his hand over my legs, slowly snaking them up my body. “It’s not the kind of shit I want you around,” he says, kissing my stomach.
“Will there be other women there?” It’s not fair that I have to stay behind if others are allowed. Before I can finish my sentence, he picks me up and has me straddle his hips.
“No. There’s a couple of prospects who will be around if you need them.”
“Okay. Come back soon,” I demand with a full-blown pout, climbing off his lap and making sure to brush his hard cock with my pussy.
“Bad girl. If I didn’t need to go, I’d be coming inside you right now.” He swats my ass, then drags me back for a quick kiss.
“Promises, promises. Get going before we have Boomer beating down the door.” He kisses me once more before he leaves. I don’t bother to get dressed after a shower. Instead, I slip on one of Joe’s dress shirts. I love wearing just them.
I'm relaxing on the sofa with my latest book while Doc heads to the clubhouse for some guy talk. I love the man but I don't want to make him worry about me, so like a good girl I didn't put up a fight when he told me to stay here.
The sun beats through the living room window, forcing me to shut the curtains when the bell rings for the gate. I walk to the panel on the wall, checking it like Joe taught me. It's a woman in a Lexus sedan, although I don’t know the model. It’s then that I spot the hospital tags on the rearview mirror. I wonder if they are checking up on him and why. I know he called in for his one shift.
"Hello, how can I help you?" I ask through the intercom. Remembering that I can switch the camera angle, I get a good look at the woman. She’s a little older than me, probably closer to Joe’s age, and that instantly bothers me.
